Other people can see your character name, your clan name, and anything else you type that reaches them. That makes you responsible for it. This is the whole of what that means.

The floor

These end an account, without discussion.

Slurs — any word aimed at someone for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, nationality, gender, gender identity or sexuality. There is no version of this that is a joke, because the target is a person and not an idea.

Targeting a real person — harassment, threats, following someone around the map to make them stop playing, or organising others to do it.

Sexual content, and anything sexual involving minors above all. That is reported to the authorities, not just removed.

Pretending to be staff — no name that reads as an admin, a moderator, or the game itself.

Spam, advertising, scams, and trying to get someone's password.

The judgment call

Comedy is welcome here, including comedy that is sharp and comedy that plays with how people are. The test is not whether it is polite. The test is whether it is constructive — whether it is built to make the room laugh, or built to make one person feel small. A joke everyone is in on is fine. The same words aimed at someone to hurt them are not, and everyone reading this already knows the difference.

If it only works because it hurts, it does not work.

What happens

Some things are refused when you type them. Most things are not — they are reported by other players and read by a person. If a report is upheld you may be asked to change a name, or you may lose the account, depending on what it was.

You can report anyone from the map, and you can block anyone. Blocking hides them completely: their pin, their name, and anything they send you.
